  1. Los paisajes me recuerdan muchisimo a Canaima y los tepuyes de la Gran Sabana venezolana.

Definitivamente, muchos de los paisajes de Avatar son tomados de la región de la Gran Sabana de Venezuela, sus tepuyes, el Salto Ángel, etc. Las grandes paredes rocosas de los tepuyes están claramente en la película. Incluso, hay una escena donde el personaje principal y su novia bajan volando por estasparedes rocosas sobre unos grandes animales con alas y es muy similar a la imagen que ven las personas que se lanzan en parapentes o paracaidas, desde el tepuy donde se encuentra el Salto Angel, la cascada más alta del mundo, ubicada en Venezuela. Además, muchos de las vestimentas y formas de vida indígenas seasemejan a las de las tribus de esa región. Me parece extraño que al buscar esta apreciación sobre estas semejanzas en Google, no encontramos mucha información.
